The Saffron Chai Base is composed of the base five chai spices of ginger, cinnamon, clove, black pepper and cardamom seed, and then blended with curcumin and piperine. Both are pharmaceutical extracts of turmeric root, and black pepper. Both of these extracts have been proven to assist in regulation of inflammation along with a host of other medicinal uses. To this base, we then add afghani saffron threads and powder.
